Steve's Journey

Steve's journey into the wedding industry began long before Champagne Events Mexico. Originally from the United States, he built his career exporting premium flowers from Colombia to the U.S. market. His passion for floriculture eventually led him to Mexico, where he established flower farms dedicated to cultivating and exporting exceptional blooms internationally. Decades of experience working alongside growers, wholesalers, and floral designers provided him with an exceptional understanding of floriculture, international logistics, strategic budgeting, procurement, vendor negotiations, quality control, and operational excellence. Today, Steve oversees the financial planning and operational management behind every celebration, ensuring our couples receive exceptional value while every detail is executed with precision, efficiency, and uncompromising quality.

Mariluz's Vision

When we relocated to Mexico, I, Mariluz Register, began my career as a wedding decorator, transforming venues through floral artistry and thoughtfully curated design. While working alongside couples from around the world, I quickly fell in love not only with weddings, but with Mexico itself—its magnificent haciendas, historic estates, vibrant traditions, extraordinary cuisine, breathtaking landscapes, and the warmth of its people.

It became clear that destination weddings in Mexico could offer so much more than beautiful décor. I envisioned creating immersive wedding experiences that celebrated the country's culture while delivering the impeccable organization, refined aesthetics, and elevated guest experience expected by discerning international couples planning a wedding abroad.

That vision led me back to New York, where I earned my certification as a professional Wedding Planner. As our company grew and our clientele became increasingly international, I continued expanding my education by studying advanced wedding and event design, followed by a specialization in South Asian Wedding Planning, allowing me to create culturally authentic, beautifully designed, and flawlessly executed celebrations. Steve later earned his certification in South Asian Wedding Planning as well, further strengthening our ability to guide multicultural couples with confidence, cultural understanding, and meticulous attention to every tradition and detail.

Today, Champagne Events Mexico is 100% dedicated to destination weddings in Mexico.

Together, Steve and I combine his expertise in floriculture, international logistics, and operational excellence with my background in luxury wedding planning, event design, and guest experience to create celebrations that feel effortless, sophisticated, and deeply personal.
